The 1500SS won the 1927 Modena Circuit with the driving team of Enzo Ferrari and Giulio Ramponi. It also won the first Alfa Romeo victory at the Mille Miglia in 1928 with the drivers Giuseppe Campari and Giulio Ramponi.

The 1750GS won the Mille Miglia in 1930 with the drivers Tazio Nuvolari and Giovanni Battista Guidotti. It was the first car to have an average speed of over 100km/h over the 1000 mile course.

The 1956 1900SS is a beautiful car that competed in the Mille Miglia several times, but it never won. It was the top of the Alfa Romeo range at the time and was advertised as the 'family saloon that wins races.'
