It is possible that in five years Aston Martin will have a mix of AMG- and Ford-built engines in its lineup, but the plan is to eventually transition completely to AMG engines. 

The current Ford-supplied engines do not comply to Euro6 emissions standards, and Aston Martin will have to retune them, which could be lower power in the near future.
