that looks normal from the outside. However, it is designed for undercover police officers and as an escort vehicle. While it appears normal, on the inside, the car has all of the necessary police equipment. It is available with either a six-cylinder engine or two available turbocharged, four-cylinder engines with auto stop/start and regenerative braking.
BMW is also offering more fully equipped 3-Series sedans and later a Touring model for regular patrol duties. It also has an X3 for police patrol duties. Additions to the standard car include rear LED illumination so that drivers can see the police from the rear. The iDrive system is optional on them for control of the sirens and signals in addition to the navigation system.

For paramedic roles, BMW has a new R1200 RT motorcycle that includes a digital and analog radio, electronically adjustable windshield, siren, flashing registration plate lamps, front protection guards, fire extinguisher and PA system.
BMW produces all of its specialty vehicles in house working with clients to develop the vehicles to fit their needs. It also offers courses to teach paramedics how to drive quickly and safely to the scene of emergencies.
