will roll out comprehensive technology upgrades to its cars this summer that will improve emissions and offer new technologies.
As part of the upgrades, all of BMW's TwinPower Turbo models and M models will meet EU6 emissions. Several of its diesel motors have also received the certification. The EU6 emission standard becomes law in September 2014.

will get a Launch Control function, which was previously only available on the M models. All models with the eight-speed automatic get steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The ECO PRO Mode is getting a software upgrade that adds a coasting function and tells the driver when the best time to begin slowing down for corners is. All versions of the 1 Series, 3 Series and 6 Series get the upgrade this summer. The coasting mode allows the drivetrain to be disconnected from the wheels, so the car coasts with no drivetrain losses. When combined with the anticipation assistant, the system analyzes data from the navigation system to suggest to drivers the best time to coast or to slow down for corners for optimum fuel economy.
BMW is also rolling out its lane departure warning and automatic braking system out to further models. The Head-Up Display now offers more colors to make it easier to see, and it can be configures to show even more information.
The 7 Series will get optional leather sport steering wheel that can adjust the drive settings. The BMW Night Vision system has also been updated to recognize animals and recognize pedestrians better, and it will be available on the 6 Series and 7 SeriesBMW 7 Series Gen.5Germany, 2009 > present50 versions
