BMW Group Sets Sales Record for March

BMW Group has set an all-time sales record for March. BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorcycles all had improved sales with BMW setting a single month record. 

BMW sold 153,004 cars in March worldwide a 13.4% increase over last year. Its cumulative sales are also up 11% for the year. The strongest sales increase was for the BMW 6-series, which saw sales increase by 454.8% to 2,247 cars sold. BMW's volume sales leader is the 3-series, which sold 29,004 cars.

Mini sales were also improved by 5.6% compared to last year. Countryman sales were up 36.8%.

Rolls-Royce sold 770 cars in the first quarter of the year representing a 6.5% sales increase over the same quarter last year.

BMW Motorcyles sales have been increasing as well. It sold 12,295 in March, which is a 5.3% increase.  

BMW's major markets are Germany, the US and China. Sales are up for the quarter by 36.8% in China, 2% in the Germany and 16.6% in the US. BMW has sold 425,528 vehicles this quarter among all of its brands worldwide.
