The 2014 Corvette will be auctioned for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Like with the auction of the first SRT Viper, the winning bidder will have to wait until the seventh generation Corvette goes into production in the third quarter of 2013 to take delivery of the car. The auction will be held on January 19.

“The new Stingray features a modern, dramatic design that will inspire a new generation of Corvette enthusiasts. With the proceeds of the new Stingray going to the CCS, the new Corvette will also help cultivate the next generation of designers who may work on modern, dramatic Chevrolets in the future. In fact more than 170 CCS alumni already work in the GM Design studios," said GM Head of Design Ed Wellburn. 

Chevrolet has also entered a 1958 Corvette owned and restored by GM CEO Dan Akerson into the auction. It will cross the auction block on January 18, and the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity. The car is painted Regal Turquoise and powered by a 245hp V8. 

One of the two 2012 COPO Camaro convertibles will be auctioned for the American Heart Association on January 19. It is the final car built this year out of 69 and the second of two convertibles.
