has big product plans worldwide for 2014. It plans to launch three new factories worldwide and 23 new cars that will be sold globally. It is the most vehicles that Ford will launch in one year in over a century.

It is also adding the new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder to the Mustang, and it has a second new EcoBoost engine that it has yet to debut. The 1.0-liter EcoBoost will also be offered in North America.

Ford will also expand its stop/start tech in the US and plans to have it on 70% of its cars by the end of 2014. Parking assist, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring will also be available in more vehicles.

There will be three new factories – two in Asia and one in South America, and it is building an engine factory in Brazil. Its new factories in Asia will both be in Chongqing, China, and will be responsible for vehicle assembly and manufacturing transmissions. Ford will add 5,000 new jobs in the United States. It is also moving production of the new Ford Transit Connect and new Ford Transit to the United States.

“Next year, we are embarking on our most ambitious global launch year ever to meet customer demand for our products around the world,” said Raj Nair, Ford head of global product development.
