Infiniti has been teasing its range-extended, electric sports car since last November. It announced back then that the car would be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and Infiniti reaffirmed that today. The concept is now called the EMERG-E and will be shown during the Infiniti press conference at Geneva on March 6.
Back in November, Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President at Nissan and Infiniti said, "At the Geneva show next year, we will present our vision for a totally new kind of inspired premium performance car. Infiniti already has hybrid and clean diesel models on sale. And with an all-electric sedan on the way, the natural next step was to push the boundaries where performance and the environment intersect."
This is not the first time that Nissan toyed with the idea of an electric sports car. At last year's Tokyo Motor Show, it showed the Esflow concept that used the Leaf's powertrain. It is the white car in the gallery.
We are only about a month away from finally seeing this Infiniti sports car.
