has released its 2013 sustainability report and it aims to make 95% of the parts of its cars recyclable by 2015. Since 2008, it has reduced the amount of CO2 produced in making each vehicle by 128kg.

It hired 68 environmental experts in 2012 to fin ways to make their factories cleaner, and in 2014 their suggestions will be implemented at three South Korean factories. These projects include reducing the number of shipments from warehouses to the factories to reduce fuel use and sharing more logistics information with suppliers in order to haul cargo together.

In the last 10 years, Kia has reduced vehicle waste by 23%. It has set a further goal to reduce the amount of waste that it incinerated from 8.4% currently to 3% by 2016.

The company says that it will also disclose more environmental information on its cars to help buyers make more educated choices.
