Kia Sales Up 4.2% Worldwide in April

sales were up 4.2% to 239,347 cars worldwide in April. It was even up in the tough European region, but sales were down slightly in North America where it has been strong the last several months.  

Kia performed well in most regions. Chinese sales were up 19.6% to 48,482 units; European sales were up 7.1% to 53,058 cars, and Korean sales were up 1.4% to 40,554 cars. Sales in North America were down 0.8% to 55,137 units. In all other markets worldwide Kia sales were down 4.3% to 42,116 cars. 

For the year so far Kia sales are up 3.1% to 892,708 cars.
