Audi Demos A5 DTM at Final DTM Race

Next year will be a big year for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM). The series' two competitors, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, are both using new cars next year, the A5 for Audi and the C-class Coupe for Mercedes, and BMW is entering the series with the M3.

While we have seen all of these cars displayed at various times, last weekend was the first chance for an audience to see the new cars on the track. At the final DTM race of the year at Hockenheim on October 23, 2011, Audi driver and Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen took the A5 DTM around Hockenheim in formation with the C-class Coupe and M3.

Audi had a fantastic weekend at Hockenheim. Its driver Martin Tomczyk had already won the drivers' championship, and at Hockenheim Audi won not only the race, but also the Abt Audi team won the championship.

Really beautiful. I really hope these new chassis allow more exciting races, sometimes DTM is a little bored. But, it's great to have changes in DTM, especially seeing BMW returning.

BMW and Mercedes look ruthless! Not feeling the Audi though, sideshot it looks a bit "Max Power", looking forward for more pictures
