has released the first teaser image of the MP4-12C Spider. The car will use the same 625ps twin-turbocharged V8 as the conventional MP4-12CMcLaren MP4-12CUnited Kingdom, 2012 > present544 photos

The new MP4-12C Spider uses the same carbon fiber monocoque as the coupe. McLaren says that it will release more details about the car on July 3. The rumor was that the car would use a folding metal hardtop, and the teaser image that McLaren released bares that out. 

McLaren produced a video showing Jenson Button talking about driving an open-top car.
