The smells are atomized throughout the entire car in very small amounts. It keeps them from impregnating into occupants clothing or even into the interior.

Vom Ende is the senior perfumer at fragrance maker Symrise and created four smells for the S-Class.

Downtown Mood is a feminine fragrance that is meant to elicit a city life. It includes the smells of magnolia, rosewood, peaches, jasmine and lilac.

Nightlife Mood is aristocratic and masculine and includes the smell of dark wood, spice, cognac and amber.

Freeside Mood includes citrus, lemon and tea. It is flowery with patchouli and cedar wood.

Finally, Sports Mood is meant to be spring-like. It includes the smells of lime, magnolia, gardenia, jasmine, rose, grapefruit and watermelon.
