. The boat was developed by AMG in conjunction with Cigarette Racing.

The boat produces 2,221hp and 2,213lb-ft (3,000Nm) of torque. It has a top speed of 160km/h (100mph). Its batteries hold 240kWh running at 400 volts. The power comes from two drive units that are each made from six liquid-cooled permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors, and each drive unit has its own transmission.

The motors are powered by 48 liquid-cooled battery modules with a total of 3,456 lithium-ion cells. They provide a total of 240kWh of battery power. The batteries are placed throughout the floor of the boat to lower the center of gravity.

To charge the batteries there are two 22kW on-board chargers that come directly from the SLS AMG Electric Drive Concept. It takes seven hours to fully charge the battery. In theory, Mercedes could reduce that to three hours with four on-board chargers.

It is 11.6m (38ft) long and is painted a color called AMG Electricbeam magno with matt chrome trim and AMG emblems on the side. The interior has seats created by Cigarette Racing with carbon fiber elements in the cockpit. AMG fitted the instrument panel from the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive to the boat with dials in the same color as the boat's hull. It displays current motor output, speed, battery voltage and battery state of charge.
