The vehicle, which Mini is calling the Mini Mini, is a small remote controlled car that will be used during the field games to return equipment to the athletes.
The Mini Mini can carry 8kg of load for 35 minutes. That means that it can carry one hammer, discus or shot at a time or two javelins. It is operated by a convectional radio control unit and can be recharged in 80 minutes. Mini has built three of them so they can constantly be in service.

in 1/4 scale. It weighs just 25kg. Equipment is placed into the car by removing the sunroof panel. It also has disc brakes and tires that provide traction on grass. It is 1.1m long, .5m wide and .4m high.
