Mitsubishi enlarges i-MiEV for the American market

Mitsubishi has revealed the first photos and info about the American version of the i-MiEV, before it makes its world premiere at Los Angeles Auto Show.

For the American market Mitsubishi has prepared an enlarged version of its electric vehicle, when compared to the Japanese- and European-spec i-MiEV’s. Thanks to this feature the Mitsubishi model will offer plenty of space for four adults, expecting to better meet the expectations of U.S. consumers.

For the North American-spec i-MiEV's will also receive all-new front and rear bumpers. Other features that will feature as standard include airbags that detect passengers' seating position and control deployment force, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Active Stability Control (ASC).

More information about the i-MiEV will be presented at the Los Angeles Convention Centre from Wednesday on November 17, when the media presentation takes place.
