New low Co2 Zafira launched

Opel will offer a new low emission diesel engine for the new Zafira Tourer. The new engine will be available shortly after the launch of the new 7 seat mini-MPV this autumn.

The 2.0CDTI will emit 119 g/km Co2 while still producing 130hp and 300 Nm. The 2 litre common rail diesel engine encompasses Opel’s ecoFLEX technologies including its Start/Stop-System, improved aerodynamics also contribute to the fuel consumption. It is linked to a wide ration 6 speed manual gearbox, aimed at increased fuel efficency.

The new engine propels the Zafira Tourer past 100 km/h in 11.4 seconds and on to 193 km/h. However, its real strength should lie in the availability of all 300 Nm of torque between 1750 and 2500 rpm.
