has announced its European sales for May, and it sold 51,168 cars in Europe for May and has sold 271,557 cars from January through May.
"May has given Nissan another solid performance across Europe which matched our expectations for the month and Nissan's market share increased above our Asian competitors in several key markets, UK, Spain and France," said Guillaume Cartier, Nissan Europe head of sales.
Russia is now Nissan's largest market in Europe with 11,071 cars sold in May. The rest of the top 5 markets are the UK, France, Italy and Spain. The UK also had high sales with 10,311 cars sold in May. France moved 5,954 cars; Italy sold 4,556 cars, and Spain sold 3,880 cars.
