Nissan Plans to Celebrate 80th Anniversary for Entire Month of September

will be celebrating its 80th anniversary with an event called Nissan 360 for all of September with special events around the world, including historic model displays and debuting next generation models and technologies.

"Nissan is proud to be at the cutting-edge of automotive technology, with exciting prospects that will help shape the future use, brand appeal and environmental impact of vehicles amid continued global growth in overall vehicle demand," said Carlos Ghosn, Nissan president and CEO.

The Nissan 360 events will have over 100 Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun cars on display, including VIP and stakeholder test drives at an event at the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station site in southern California.

At the events, it intends to announce new vehicle plans for China, the US, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, and Nissan is hinting that it will also debut a new electric vehicle during the month.

pickup truck in the US will be available with a 5.0-liter turbo diesel V8 with 300hp and 500lb-ft of torque that will be built by Cummins and be supplied to Nissan.

"This is an opportunity to celebrate that contribution to a vital business segment, while signaling the very real opportunities we face to transform vehicle usage for generations to come," said Ghosn.
