September sales in Europe are nearly flat for the year with a 0.34% gain over the previous year. It sold 66,303 cars in Europe last month compared to 66,074 in September 2012.
The UK is Nissan’s strongest growth market with 20,571 cars sold. Russian sales are up 15% for September to 15,002 cars sold. Sales fall off quickly from there with 5,700 cars sold in France as its third largest car market.

Its market share fell 0.1% to 4% compared to last September, and its market share from January to September stands at 3.5%, down from 3.9% at this point last year.
"In the month that we unveiled the new X-Trail at Frankfurt Motor Show, the popularity of Nissan's Crossover family remains as strong as ever and our newly refreshed small car segment models Note and Micra are continuing to boost sales,” said Raoul Picello, Nissan Europe head of sales.
