Kimi Raikkonen is one of the most enigmatic drivers in Formula 1 history. When he was asked who was going to win the drivers' championship last year, he responded "the one with the most points." He has made his career by performing well on the track and keeping to himself off track. This season he is within four points of leading the World Drivers' Championship, and he sees nothing odd about that.
"I don't see why we should be surprised; I don't think there is any magic behind it," said Raikkonen.
Raikkonen has scored points in every race this year and has finished on the podium in every race but one. He also won the season opening race in Australia. Raikkonen has only qualified higher than third once this season.
"We wanted to improve on the start to last year and we have done that.
"I know the team and they know me, we have more experience; we've been quite consistent and quite fast this year. The aim was to start the first races better and we've already put ourselves in a strong position.
"We wanted to win more races already, but it hasn't happened," said Raikkonen.

teammate, Romain Grosjean, struggled in the first three races, but a switch in chassis brought him a third place finish in Bahrain. He had a suspension failure in Spain to knock him out of the race.
Monaco will push the team to qualify as best as possible. The track is well known for its difficulty in passing, so being close to the top is paramount.
