is adding its 120 EDC engine to the Clio GT hatchbackRenault Clio GT TCe 120France, 2013 > present2 photos
and estate. In addition to the new engine, the GT gets trim-specific front and rear bumpers, tinted rear glass, 17in wheels, sport seats and R-Link infotainment system. The GT trim also makes the Malte Blue color available.
The 120 EDC engine uses the 1.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 120hp and 140lb-ft of torque. The only available transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. It uses 5.2l/100km and emits 120g/km of CO2.
The engine allows it to accelerate to 100km/h in 9.4 seconds and has a top speed of 199km/h
The new bumpers get LED running lights in the front and new, twin exhaust pipes and the spoiler from the Clio R.S. in the rear. It also gets dark metal side mirrors.
Inside, the cars get sport seats with GT-branded headrests, speckled gray dashboard trim and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. The pedals get aluminum caps, and there are Renault Sport-badged doorsills. It also comes with R-Link as standard.
Like all Clio GTs, the 120 EDC comes with a sport chassis and R.S Drive. The suspension is 40% stiffer in the front and 30% stiffer in the rear. R.S Drive allows the driver to select among multiple calibrations for the steering stiffness, throttle mapping and shifting speed.
Options for the car include a rear parking sensor for €250, reverse camera for €450, metallic paint for €470 (Flamme Red and Malte Blue are €570, leather upholstery with heated seats for €1,250, sunroof for €400 and RS Monitor 2.0 €250.
The Clio GT 120 EDC will go on sale on June 13 for €20,990 for the hatchback and €21,590 for the estate.
