The modified Kangoo has the Papal coat of arms on the doors. It is 4.6m long and 1.8m wide. It uses a 60hp electric motor and has a 170km range.
Renault also donated a Kangoo Maxi Z.E. to the Corps of Gendarmerie of Vatican City. It is blue with a white and yellow stripe on each side. It will be used in Vatican City for Papal security. Gruau also modified it.
Both cars will seat four with separate seats in the rear. They have opening roof panels, removable side windows, hinged side doors and electrically folding door steps.
“This donation to His Holiness is a means for Renault to reaffirm its strong and durable commitment to sustainable development and respect for the environment,” said Ghosn.
