opened on October 23, 2007. Since then it has welcomed its 10 millionth visitor in July 2012 and had 2.3 million people came in 2011. It has become the place where BMW delivers new cars to buyers and a place to show off all of BMW Group's brands. It sits alongside the BMW Museum, BMW Headquarters and  one of its factories. 

The completion of BMW Welt allowed BMW to make its campus an experience. New buyers can pick up their cars, tour the brand's history and then see where some of its cars are made. The option of picking your new BMW up at BMW Welt is open to all customers. It also allows BMW to exhibit new products from Mini, Rolls-Royce, BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna. Each brand has a technical expert on hand and its own small hall for deliveries and to show new products.

Next door is the BMW Museum that was built in 1973 and was renovated from 2004 to 2008. It displays the brand's entire history from airplane engines to racing vehicles. The renovation increased its size by five times to 5,000m².

Finally, the BMW Plant Munich produces 900 3 SeriesBMW BMW 3 Series Gen.6 [F30/F31]Germany, 2012 > present115 versions
