GT on sale. The car is the fastest European Kia ever and has been just introduced in the UK. It will go on sale in the rest of Europe soon.

The Pro_cee’d GT is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 201hp with 196lb-ft of torque. It gets the car to 60mph in 7.4 seconds and to a top speed of 143mph. It is rated at 38.2mpg UK (7.4l/100km) and 171g/km of CO2.

The only available transmission is a close-ratio six-speed manual.

The GT gets a retuned suspension with higher damper rebound and compressions rates, stiffer springs, stiffer suspension bushings and a larger rear anti-roll bar. The steering gets has a quicker, and the brakes are enlarged to 300mm in the front and 262mm in the rear. 

To set off the car from the standard Pro_cee’d, the GT gets a lower, wider air dam that is surrounded by a red trim line. On either side of the air dam are banks of LED running lights and foglights. The side has lower sills with18in wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires. At the rear, the GT gets a large diffuser and dual exhaust. The cars are available in Track Red, Fusion White and Phantom Black.

Inside, the GT comes with standard Recaro seats covered in leather and cloth. The steering wheel, gearshift and door trim are covered in leather and suede. There is also gloss black trim around the air vents and center console.

There will be two trim levels and one limited edition at launch - GT and GT Tech, and the limited edition is the GT 1st Edition, which is limited to 500 Europe-wide and 50 in the UK. UK pricing starts at £19,995 for the GT; the GT Tech goes for £22,495, and the 1st Edition goes for £23,995. Kia has not announced prices outside of the UK yet.

The GT Tech package gets a 7in touchscreen with navigation, reverse camera, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, rain sensing front wipers, dual-zone climate control, dimming rearview mirror and xenon headlights.

The 1st Edition adds gloss black trim to the 18in wheels, gloss black mirror covers, sunroof, red ambient lighting, illuminated sill plates and a numbered plaque. The cars are only available in Fusion White.

A five-door version of the GT will be added in early 2014.
