Lamborghini has introduced the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, which brings this the Gallardo Super Trofeo car to the street again. 2012’s Super Trofeo Stradale was limited to 150 units, and Lamborghini wanted to offer more cars to customers.
The Squadra Corse starts as a Gallardo Superleggera but adds a unique body kit and upgraded interior. Like the Superleggera and last year's Super Trofeo Stradale, the Squadra Corse is powered by a 570ps (562hp) version with its 5.2-liter V10 with the six-speed e-gear transmission. It takes 3.4 seconds to hit 100km/h and has a top speed of 320km/h.
The Squadra Corse takes the carbon fiber rear wing and carbon fiber hood with quick release from the Super Trofeo racecar. Like the Superleggera and Super Trofeo Stradale, the Squadra Corse weighs in at 1,340kg (2,954lb), 70kg (154lb) less than the standard Gallardo LP 560-4. It also gets the racecars carbon-ceramic brakes.
To differentiate from the Superleggera and Super Trofeo Stradale, the Squadra Corse gets an Italian flag decal along the flank. The hood, front air intake, rear diffuser and 19in wheels are painted high-gloss black, and the rear wing is in matte black. The brake calipers come in red, yellow or back. The exterior is available in Giallo Midas, Bianco Monocerus, Grigio Thalsso and Rosso Mars.
Inside, the seats are made from carbon fiber and covered in Alcantara, as is the dashboard. The door panels are uncovered carbon fiber. Buyers looking for more luxury can also buy the standard comfort seats from the Gallardo.
