The BMW 6 Series is a grand tourer model produced by the German manufacturer since 1976. First available as an executive coupé only, the 6 Series also counts with a convertible variant.

The first BMW 6 Series, the E24, was based on the E23 7 Series fullsize luxury sedan. It was launch in 1976 to replace the 3.0CS & 3.0CSi (E9).

The highest performance 6 series is the BMW M6.
