Citroën Teases DS9 Flagship Sedan on Facebook

Citroën has posted an image of the DS9 to its Facebook page saying that the model would be coming soon. You can see that image as the first photo in the gallery above. 

This is actually the second teaser that Citroën has made of the DS9. All signs point to this car being the production version of its Metropolis concept car. That car was originally shown at the 2010 Shanghai Auto Show. It will be the flagship sedan in the Citroën lineup. 

The concept was 5.3m long, which is similar to the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8. It was powered by a 270hp V6 and electric motor to produce around 70g/km of CO2. Granted, this was the concept, so it is unknown if the production version will also use this drivetrain. 

The next major European Motor Show is in Paris starting on Thursday, September 27. It is hard to call that soon, but Citroën may unveil the the new DS there.
