to Japan in 1999, and it was the first hybrid car to go on sale in Europe in 2000. Now, 13years later, it has broken one million sales of its hybrid models as of September 2012. Honda currently builds 8 hybrid vehicles worldwide, although not all of them are available in all regions. 

While Honda has stuck to a one-motor hybrid system so far, it will have two-motor and three-motor hybrids on the market in the coming years as well. 

The original Insight had room for just two passengers but used 2.86l/100km and emitted 80g/km of CO2.
