Jeep announced its contest to name a special edition model in January, and the fruit of that contest has been born. Jeep has announced the Altitude editions of the Grand Cherokee, Compass and Patriot. All of the cars offer a fully blacked-out appearance with a black body and wheels.
The Grand Cherokee Altitude gets a gloss black grill and platinum chrome lower fascia with black headlight surrounds and 20in black wheels. Inside, it gets leather, heated seats, leather steering wheel and nine speaker stereo with mp3 connectivity and hands-free phone. It costs $35,595 for a rear-wheel drive model or $37,595 for four-wheel drive.
The Compass Altitude gets the same black gloss front grill and headlight surrounds as the Grand Cherokee. In addition it gets black 18in wheels and black roof rails. It gets heated mirrors, heated seats and leather steering wheel. It costs $22,190 for front-wheel drive models and $23,940 for four-wheel drive.
The Patriot Altitude has the same blacked-out exterior as the other two in addition to 17in wheels. It gets heated exterior mirrors, heated seats and leather steering wheel. It costs $20,240 for front-wheel drive cars and $23,275 for four-wheel drive models.
