McLaren unveils 625C for the Asian market

continues to expand the market in which it operates and a sign of this is the launch of the McLaren 625C targeting the growing Asian market. The British brand saw an explosion in sales in the Asian market the past two years and is expected to grow further this year.

The name 625C is directly related to the power output of the 3.8-liter V8 twin turbo engine. "C" stands for "club" emphasizing the more accessible and less extreme nature of the model. Still, the car offers many technical advances already available on the 650S.

In terms of performance the 625C produces 625hp, as mentioned above, and has a torque of 610 nm. Acceleration to 100km/h is achieved in 3.1 seconds and the maximum speed is 333km/h for the coupéMcLaren 625CUnited Kingdom, 2014 > present and 329km/h for the spiderMcLaren 625C SpiderUnited Kingdom, 2014 > present. CO2 emissions remain fixed at 275g/km.

The new McLaren will be initially available in Hong Kong in Coupé and Spider bodystyles. Other markets in the Asian region will be selected in the following months.
