Opel Investing €130 million to Upgrade Kaiserslautern Factory

Production of the new diesel engines will begin in October, and Opel is promising high performance, lower fuel consumption, lower noise and lower emissions.

Opel is launching 23 new models and 13 new engines in the next few years.

“The investments in the Kaiserslautern plant are proof of the high quality of our manufacturing and our competitiveness,” said Site Director Elvira Tölkes.

The Kaiserslautern factory employs 2,200 workers and builds parts and engines for the most of the Opel range.
