It is important for major corporations to protect their intellectual property, but sometimes it backfires. In a patent filing, BMW has revealed the exterior design for the new Mini Paceman – Mini's compact, three door SUV.
The exterior has the corporate Mini nose and a sloping roof. Other than the nose, the car seems to be a Land Rover Evoque for the people. They both have the slopping roof, which affects utility, but makes the car look more sleek.
The Mini Paceman concept was revealed in January, 2011, at the North American International Auto Show. It is 157in long making it the longest Mini yet produced. It is available with the naturally aspirated 1.6l, turbocharged 1.6l and 1.6l diesel.
