Refreshed Honda Insight Produces 96g/km of CO2

Refreshed Honda Insight Produces 96g/km of CO2

Honda will be refreshing its second-generation Insight for 2012 with a revised grill and improvements to the hybrid's efficiency.

It claims that the revised Insight will produce just 96g/km of CO2 thanks to a lower friction engine, better aerodynamics and optimized CVT transmission and air conditioning. The company also says that fuel efficiency has been improved but did not give concrete numbers.

Honda is not releasing many details about specs of the new Insight. However, it is getting a new front grill with LED lighting and single crossbar. Honda also says that they have modified the car's rear with a smaller wiper motor, wider glass and modified rear spoiler to increase rear visibility.

Honda promises more details when the car is revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show starting on September 13.
