is making the debut of its third generation MiniMINI (BMW) MINI VisionGermany, 2013 > 2013 a major celebration. It will debut first at the Mini Plant Oxford on November 18, and there will be a party in London later that evening. On November 20, it will get simultaneous debuts at the LA Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show. designer Sir Alec Issigonis, which will make the debut even more special. Mini says that sales of the new Mini will begin in the first quarter of 2014. 

Mini says that the new generation will offer brand new engines and chassis technologies when it goes on sale.

The original Mini was unveiled in 1959 and revolutionized the auto industry with Issigonis' concept for transverse-mounted front-engined car with front-wheel drive. It is the same basic concept that nearly every front-wheel drive car still uses today.
