, here comes the V60 Cross Country, with unveiling scheduled for this year's LA Motor Show.
The first version Cross Country appeared in 1997, with the V70 Cross Country, creating at the time a new type of vehicle and driving experience. Continuing this tradition, the new V60 Cross Country offers a combination of a vehicle with more sports capabilities but simultaneously comfortable.
Compared to the V60, the new Cross-Country sees the ground clearence increased by 65mm, which allows greater security in rougher surfaces. It also receives torque vectoring and corner traction control technologies.
The V60 Cross Country will be offered with 18 and 19-inch wheels and high profile tires, which besides providing more comfort and an all-terrain look, reduce road noise and adds protection to the wheels while climbing kerbs or negotiating rocky roads.
Design
The new model Volvo Cross Country gets some unique design features that give a more all-terrain look. In addition to the increased ground clearance, the side sills, the skid plates and fender extensions give greater presence to the V60 Cross Country. The integrated exhaust outlets give it a more sporty look.
Inside the V60 Cross Country gets sports seats in black leather with brown stitching. Other options will be offered after the launch.
Engines
The first units of the V60 Cross Country will be sold to the United States and Canada with the petrol five cylinders engine with 250hp and four wheel drive combined with an automatic transmission.
In the beginning of 2015 the range will be completed by the diesel and petrol four-cylinder engines of the new Drive-E family.
