. The new car is a carbon fiber-bodied, two-door luxury sports coupe with a mid-mounted V6 engine producing in excess of 375hp. Spyker wants the car the car to live up to the brand’s motto, “For the tenacious no road is impassable.”

The name Venator means hunter in Latin and references the Spyker Hunter fighter plane from the turn of the 20th century. The Venator keeps the oval mesh grill from previous Spyker cars to have a familiar look as the rest of the brand’s cars. It gets modern upgrades like LED front running lights and 3d LED taillights. It has a glass roof that flows to the rear glass with an internal roll bar for stabilization. It looks much like an aircraft canopy. The rest of the body is made from carbon fiber that covers an aluminum chassis. The aircraft motif is carried to the 19in wheels that are supposed to look like the fan blades from a jet engine.

The interior includes all of the luxury features that have come to define modern Spykers including diamond-pleated leather, an exposed gear shift and metal flip switches.

It uses a transversely mounted V6 with 375+ horsepower. Power goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic. The B6 is 4.3m (169in) long, 1.882m wide (74in) and has a 2.5m (98.4in) long wheelbase. Spyker says that the weight will be less than 1,400kg (3086lbs).
