Tata is India’s largest carmaker. Established in 1945, the company built its first car in 1954. Now, apart from automobiles, it also produces trucks and buses. Tata made partnerships with several brands over the years, Daewoo and Jaguar, for example. In 2005, a joint venture with Fiat made it possible to produce and distribute Tata and Fiat vehicles using the same plant and retailers in India. Besides its home country, Tata is present in the United Kingdom, South Korea, Thailand and Spain.
