These will substitute the units that were lost in the Browns Lane factory fire

Jaguar Classic has decided to build another ultra-exclusive continuation model, the XKSS

After the experience gained with the construction of the Lightweight E-type projectJaguar E-Type LightweightUnited Kingdom, 2014 > present, Jaguar Classic has decided to build another ultra-exclusive continuation model, the XKSS. Nine units of the XKSSJaguar XKSSUnited Kingdom, 2017 > present will be built following the exact specification from 1957. These cars will replace those lost due to the Browns Lane factory fire.

"The XKSS occupies a unique place in Jaguar's history and is a car coveted by collectors the world over for its exclusivity and unmistakable design,” explained Tim Hannig, Director of Jaguar Land Rover Classic.

Jaguar explains that building the XKSS reaffirms the brand's commitment to nurture the passion and enthusiasm for Jaguar's illustrious cars. Only 16 units were built before the factory fire took place. Jaguar will build the remaining nine XKSS 59 years later and will sell them for £1 million for a select group of established collectors and customers.

The building of the XKSS units will follow the Lightweight E-type project, with all sports cars being hand-built at Jaguar's new 'Experimental Shop' in Warwick. Every aspect will be fully certified by Jaguar.

The first deliveries of the new continuation Jaguar XKSS will commence in early 2017.
