, and the next one coming will be the S-Class Plug-In Hybrid at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Mercedes is aiming for emissions of 70g/km of CO2. That emissions figure is important because it just beats out the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid that emits 71g/km of CO2.

Mercedes announced the model when it revealed the new S-Class, but it has kept performance statistics a secret. Power will come from a V6 petrol engine and electric motor. The batteries will eat into the trunk capacity.

It will be the third hybrid S-Class along with the S400 Hybrid and S300 BlueTec Hybrid, but it will be the only plug-in variant.
