will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and go on sale at the very end of 2013 or beginning of 2014. It is hinting that the design will not be significantly changed from the current car.

The new car is expected to carry the new Renault frontend look with a wide, horizontal grill and larger Renault emblem like on the new ClioClio Gen.4Renault Clio Gen.4France, 2012 > present92 versions

“We don’t want to change the Megane radically. We have to do more of the same and resist making it bigger," said Anthony Lo, Renault's vice president of exterior design.

The new Megane will eventually be offered as a three-door, five-door and wagon, but it is likely only one of these will be shown in Frankfurt. It is expected that the car will use Renault's new family of 900cc, three-cylinder engines, and it is possible a model with a dual-clutch transmission could be added to the lineup.  A Renault Sport version is sure to come in the future.
