New Version of Quattro Concept Coming to Frankfurt

to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, according to German magazine Auto Zeitung.

The car will be a 2+2 that is still inspired by the look of the 80s Audi Sport QuattroSport QuattroAudi Sport QuattroGermany, 1980 > present3 photos
rally car but with much sharper styling. The platform will come from the A4A4 Gen.4Audi A4 Gen.4Germany, 2008 > present393 versions

but lightened by using carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum and magnesium to lighten it to 1,300kg.

The new concept will dump the five-cylinder turbo from the original concept in favor of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 641hp.

It will also get limited-slip differentials front and rear, carbon-ceramic brakes and magnetic suspension. It will be built as a bit more of a sporty GT, instead of the R8s all out speed.

It is still not know whether this will just be another concept for the car or if Audi will announce a production version.

The original Audi Quattro concept was shown at the Paris Motor Show in 2010. It used the A4’s platform to imagine a sporty Audi that would slot between the RS5RS5Audi RS5Germany, 2013 > present2 photos
