German Fisker Investor Submits Signed Offer to US Dept. of Energy

from the US Department of Energy have submitted a bid and is waiting to hear back on the results.

"I am proud to tell you that we just sent our detailed offer including a signed LOI [Letter of Intent] and short presentation of our restructuring plan to the DoE on fax and mail," said investor Ingo Voigt on Facebook.

The bidding group is led by Ingo Voigt, a lawyer in Hamburg, Germany. While the official bid was not disclosed, the group had previously said that it was going to offer $25 million for Fisker.

Under their plan, they would restructure Fisker and move production from Valmet in Finland to the US. They would also begin production of the KarmaKarmaFisker KarmaUnited States of America, 2009 > present2 versions

executive Bob Lutz has reportedly collected investors to bid for the company. Fisker founder Henrik Fisker has also hinted at making an offer with a group of Hong Kong investors.

The DOE took over Fisker when it went out of business because Fisker owed it a $193 million debt that it has been unable to repay.
