. The official debut of the new CTS-V is scheduled for the Detroit Auto Show, NAIAS in early January.

The power of the CTS-V comes from a supercharged V8 engine with 6.2 liters that thanks to 640hp and 855Nm of torque can take the performance sedan up to 60mph in 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 200mph. The engine is combined with an automatic eight-speed transmission.

With larger front and rear axles and with an increased torsional rigidity by 25%, the new CTS-V weighs 1880kg. Still it is 65kg lighter than the M5 and 10kg than the E63 AMG.

The new CTS-V gets a lot of unique exterior panels, but with an optional carbon fiber package in addition to the carbon fiber bonnet, it allows an improvement of aerodynamics and a further weight reduction.

Inside, buyers will be able to add Recaro sport seats and a Performance Data Recorder that allows you to review video and telemetry of track days.
