TVR was established and still has its headquarters in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. The company actually started off as “TVR Engineering” and not until 1954 did it have its named shortened to just TVR.
On 12 July 2012 owner Nikolay Smolensky announced the company would be closing its doors after more than 60 years of history due to the struggle to operate profitably.
