Range Rover Evoque 5-door: same style with more versatily

After unveiling the first image at the Paris Motor Show, Land Rover will be featuring at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show its 5-door version of the all-new Range Rover Evoque. The premiere will take place on November 17th.

Keeping the stylish and sporting appearance of the coupe model, the 5-Door Range Rover Evoque is enhanced by receiving extra practicality and greater family appeal. The new model joins a lineup that Land Rover expects to transform the premium compact SUV segment.

The 5-door Range Rover Evoque keeps faithful to the original Land Rover LRX concept car, as does his smaller brother, but offers a new interpretation of the original cross-coupé design.

By providing premium levels of craftsmanship, luxury, performance and renowned Land Rover all-terrain capability, the 5-Door Evoque remains true to the core values of the Range Rover brand.

“The addition of the 5-Door to the Range Rover Evoque line-up extends the appeal of our brand still further,” said Land Rover’s Managing Director Phil Popham.

“While retaining everything that’s great about the Range Rover Evoque coupé, this new 5-Door bodystyle will offer customers even more choice, greater practicality, versatility and flexibility. The launch of the Evoque in 2011 will expand and revitalise the global appeal of the Range Rover marque."

The 5-door version of the Range Rover Evoque will have both four-wheel and front-wheel drive versions available and although the engine that will be featuring under the bonnet hasn’t been revealed yet, Land Rover states that it will deliver class-leading sustainability with sub 135g/km CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency.

The 5-door Evoque will reach the markets in the summer of 2011 and will be available in 160 countries.
