Review

The second generation of the Bentley Azure was introduced in 2006 and it based on the Arnage platform. Later in 2009 a higher performance version, the Azure T, was introduced.

Engine and Performance

It is powered by a 450hp version of the Arnage’s 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged intercooled V8 engine and produces 875Nm (645lb ft) of torque. A new 6-speed automatic transmission was especially developed for this model.
According to Bentley the new Azure can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 270km/h.

Azure T

The new Azure T, unveiled at the 2009 LA Auto Show, specified with the high performance version of Crewe’s iconic 6¾ litre V8 engine, the twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces 500bhp and 1000 Nm of torque – an 11 per cent increase in power and a 14 per cent increase in torque over the regular Azure. It has a top speed of 288km/h and is able to reach 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.
In terms of efficiency the Azure T has a combined fuel consumption of 19.5l/100km and produces 465g/km of co2 emissions.
