History
The “Dernburg-Wagen” is the world's first all-wheel drive passenger car. This car was built to withstand long journeys on unmade roads in colonial German South-West Africa, now Namibia.
It was based on a DMG commercial vehicle chassis and it even featured all-wheel steering. It was sold for 34,750 Marks at the time.
