Debuted in 2008, this Donkervoort D8 Race belongs to the 1st generation of the D8 model. Powered by a straight 4 1781cc engine, this car has a power output of 270 hp. This D8 Race has an exceptional performance compared to the other versions and it is in fact the most powerful version in the series line-up. This rear wheel drive version has a manual transmission with a 5-speed gearbox. The performance of the vehicle is reflected on the top speed of 245 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 4 seconds. As for the seating arrangement, it offers space for up to 2 persons. The version of the D8 uses double wishbones suspension with coil springs at the front and double wishbones suspension with coil springs at the rear axle.
