Construzione Automobili Intermeccanica was founded by Frank Reisner in Turin, Italy, in 1959, starting by producing kits of equipment for various automakers. As of 1960 the company expanded into building all sorts of vehicles including customized models. In 1975 the Company moved to San Bernardino, California, USA. and in 1982 it relocated to Vancouver, Canada, changing its name to Intermeccanica International Inc.
